One of the things I loved about Barcelona, was the fact the city was so close to the beautiful sea. Although I’m partial to a city break, and love nothing more than absorbing the history of a place, shopping and ticking off what is normally a pretty extensive restaurant list (thanks internet), being a stone’s throw away from pale sands and the ultimate ‘holiday in the Med’ feeling, is pretty unbeatable too. Being able to balance the exploring feeling with the relaxation of afternoon’s spent lying on the beach with a good book is pretty immeasurable. Although the trip was only in May, the weather was still comfortably warm enough for temperature-sensitive Brit Liv, meaning it was perfect weather to sit outside and literally soak up the sun.

For an afternoon spent by the coast I opted for a pretty much head-to-toe ASOS holiday look, with a light nautical inspired playsuit, perfectly coordinated with these rivet sandals and cute-as-a-boat-on (hohoho) Whitepepper bag– which in my true co-ordination style, matched the scenery and sailboats pretty appropriately too, not bad! Now just to catch a bit of colour on these pasty pins…
