Being a girl that doesn’t go ‘out out’ much (read: hardly ever, see Friday night tweet for reference), I can usually justify buying special occasion pieces (read: pieces that you’ll probably wear once)- as they’re somewhat few and far between. Last year I picked up one of my favourite dresses ever for my 21st, that I literally searched high and low for (and then got taken in from about 3 sizes too big- a girl’s gotta do what a girl’s gotta do)- but it was every inch worth it, so after seeing this coral ombre number on ASOS, it soon secured it’s position as ‘2015 birthday dress’ and made it’s way to Casa del Liv. It may be a little bit bridesmaid (and y’know, I probably don’t have the chest this gorgeous number was made for)- but if it’s fun to twirl it, can be worn with a leather jacket and can still feel comfortable after a chicken and chips meal, then it gets kudos from me.
Anyway! Last night it got taken for a spin for an early birthday meal (the big day is actually on Tuesday- ssh)- and my family, Joe and I headed over to Bob Bob Ricard for a pretty delicious slap up meal and some (pretend) button pressing, for a pretty special night indeed. Although I’ll probably post about the restaurant in a little more detail soon, it was one of the most fancy places I’d ever had the pleasure of eating in (meaning this one felt like a very lucky girl indeed), and felt like something between a James Bond film (mum’s reference), a party at Gatsby’s and a dinner on the Orient Express- none of which I’m sure can ever be a bad thing right? Maybe next time I’ll press for champagne too ; )
