The Make Up Bag Update…
Every month I like to switch up my make up routine ever so slightly, by introducing a few new products in to my routine and mixing them in with some old favourites. This month I seem to have pretty much gone full circle, adding a new foundation, blush, brow pencil and lipstick all into the mix- crazy, I know. After running out of my trusty YSL foundation and literally owning nothing else that matched my skin tone (#paleprobs), I dug out the Max Factor Facefinity foundation and Laura Mercier Primer– and have fallen a little bit in love. Although the foundation is certainly thicker than my Touche Eclat, the coverage is great, the colour match is pretty spot on and it lasts a good while- meaning I’m not sure why I was so worried at all! For brows I have loved Soap & Glory’s Arch De Triumph– an incredibly subtle brow pencil and highlighter- which helps create perfect shape without the scary ‘pencil filled in look’- eep! On top of that I’ve been loving trying out YSL’s Volume Effect Faux Cils Mascara along with some of the beautiful pieces from the Tom Ford Summer collection- including this cream blush in shade ‘Pink Sand’- and that’s without even delving into the stunning packaging (more on this soon). Finally, the lipstick getting the kiss of approval has to go to Clinique’s Pop colour and primer lippies which are massively nourishing, without sacrificing any colour pigment- making it a perfect lipstick/balm combination.

Getting the ‘skin’ny…
This month I’ve been being a little kinder to my skin, and making a tiny bit more effort when it comes to giving it some TLC. As well as drinking more water (slow and steady), I’ve been actually washing my face in the morning (ahem…) and have started turning to the Origins GinZing cleanser to ‘wake’ my skin up first thing and remove any nasties from the night. I’ve also been following with the fantastic Original Skin Serum, which as well as making a fantastic primer, is an amazing standalone serum, which combats spots and dryness leaving me with baby soft skin (plus, my 18 year old brother also loves it, which is saying something). In the evenings I’ve been treating my face (weird saying, or?) to the Elemis Pro Collagen Marine Cream, which although is probably aimed at someone with more mature skin- is amazing at combatting dryness and dehydration when my skin is a little thirsty (drink. water. Liv). I’ve also just started using the Darphin balm a couple of times a week as a real treat as part of any ‘pamper evenings’- which it’s perfect for (but I’ll talk about that more once I’ve given it more of a spin)! Finally, for lips I’ve loved sampling the Paul and Joe moisture lip treatment, which is a great place to start when doing my make up, or just before bed.

And then winding down…
Now for the pamper part! In terms of conditioning the ol’ barnet, this month I have fallen in love with two new shampoos. The first being Bumble & Bumble’s Sunday shampoo– a little gift from my gorgeous friend Akesha, and something I’ve been using- well, every Sunday (not obligatory). The idea is that the shampoo strips the hair of any oils, dirt and grime (which sounds scary, but it’s a good thing)- and cleans it completely, ready for a week of sassy hair swooshing ; )! In between using that weekly, I’ve been turning to Lush’s BIG shampoo, which I only discovered recently, and have been loving it for the volume it gives my hair and the incredible scent too! Finally, although I’ve not been getting my pins out much in March (surprise? Non?) this Tom Ford Shimmer Oil makes for the loveliest post bath treat, and I know it’ll be even lovelier when I can slather it on with a summer dress (who said outfit planning couldn’t involve cosmetics?)!
