I suppose I owe it to the name of my blog to do a post every now and then about well, what I actually did, or do. Although a good half of my time is spent in oversized bed socks, make up free and working from home (which there’ll be a post about soon)- when I do go out, I’m lucky enough to do a few nice things every now and again- and I thought I’d share a few of those with you, in hope to perhaps inspire you to try something new, or just have a good old nosey- because who doesn’t love one of those?
Supper with Jackson & Levine (and Miss Selfridge)…
If there’s two things that sound like a good evening to me- it’s fashion and food. When Miss Selfridge let me in to their supper club evening with babes of the year Laura Jackson and Alice Levine (!!!) I was pre-tty excited. Not only do these talented ladies host supper clubs every 2 months creating beautiful home cooked meals and hosting one special event for 16 (meaning you can book a ticket too), but this time it was celebrating the festive collection of one of my favourite high street brands so I was truly spoilt. I also got to try dee-licious pumpkin soup for the first time- and can’t think of any better circumstances to get sampling!
Cakes for Cath…
A couple of weeks ago I undertook the challenge of baking 6 cakes and a grand total of 40 party biscuits for Cath Kidston’s book signing- which to say was exciting and a little nervewracking would certainly be an understatement! After several hours in the kitchen (let’s just say the time would probably total to the whole series of the Great British Bake Off) I came out covered in flour, egg and pleased to say I’d made everything! I didn’t get to try anything, but heard a few glowing reports, which definitely compensated for kitchen time!
It’s no secret that I am well and truly a Lushie. I cannot walk past a shop without popping my head in, getting in to a conversation with one of their lovely staff and then reemerge with a little black and white paper bag minutes later. So when I was invited to have a nosey at the new Christmas collection at their Kings Road Spa (with amazing music care of the wonderful Sheema Mukherjee, I felt well and truly spoilt. We also got a sneak peek at some of their amazing treatments, which are some of the most creative and effective I’ve come across, a real experience to say the least!
Sleeping and Kiss the Moon…
If there’s one thing every single person I know appreciates, it’s a good nights sleep. No two ways about it. Unfortunately some people do find it easier than others, which is why I was excited to learn a little more about Kiss the Moon; a new lifestyle brand with a plethora of beautiful bath and face oils to help you get every ounce the good nights sleep you deserve. With all ingredients 100% natural, there’s no compromising on anything- and the scent is enough to send you to sleep, literally- and in a good way.
What have you been up to lately? If you have any cool places to share I’d love to know!
