How to pretend to be in Haim…

It’s been a long time since I’ve been really influenced by a musicians style. Okay, I lie- I absolutely love Florence Welch’s seventies inspired look- but other than Avril Lavinge and my debatable flares with chains and fishnet phase, nobody has sent me rushing to Tammy girl (or ahem, the shops) for some hip ‘n’ happening clobber. Yup, I said clobber. So, after spotting a certain Este from Haim in this Opening Ceremony dress, I’m pretty sure I felt as in love with it as I had Avril’s striped tie- and knew I had to get my mitts on one. After searching high and low I found one tucked away on Opening Ceremony (and boy do they have a pretty tip top array of brands) and couldn’t be more chuffed with my latest Haim inspired get up.

Also- can we please take a moment to ignore my rain soaked barnet- unlike the Haim babes, during this snapping session the heavens opened upon Joe and I and I was left literally looking more like a drowned rat than a ’70s inspired pop princess (lol, first clobber now this)- but I’m pretty sure the dress makes up for it on this occasion!

P.S Today it’s the birthday of the boy behind all of my blog photos (and who does the most amazing job ever) and the most special boyfriend I could ever wish for (#soppynotsoppy) so thank you Joe for always making me smile and being the oat talented, willing photo taker I know- go show him some Insta-lovin’ too over here!
