Like a lot of people I know, I’m a big ice-cream lover- I mean come on, who isn’t?! Plus, if you’re anything like me, you’ll know there’s no beating a classic scoop of vanilla (even if it just means covering it in sauce, crushed Malteasers and honeycomb- mmm mm)! With this in mind and in conjunction with their Soundtrack to your Night project- Häagen-Dazs asked me to pop over my Monday night playlist (more on this later) to inspire a cocktail with one of their classic flavours- pretty awesome, right?
Now, I’m not a massive drinker- so thought I’d adapt a wee recipe for readers of all ages (although if you’re old enough, a bit of vodka can easily be added to spice things up a little)- which I think you’ll find is the perfect way to perk up a Monday evening- especially if you have work the next morning! The ‘posh’ name for this cocktail is a ‘Vanilla Caipiroska Mocktail’- impress your pals with that one ; ) Anyway…
You will need:
– A splash (1/2 capfuls) Vanilla syrup/gomme
– The juice of one lime
– Soda water
1. This is a one step cocktail- you just need to whizz these ingredients all together, either in a cocktail shaker or glass, and put them in a short glass over crushed ice- simple right? It’s super tasty too! (Biased, but true- think cream soda with a refreshing twist).
Like I mentioned, I’ve also put together a playlist in conjunction with House of Häagen-Dazs’ ‘Soundtrack to your Night’ project- so you have a few of my current (and past) favourites to listen to whilst popping this together! You can listen and download here! Who knew Monday’s could be so tasty?
This post was written in collaboration with Häagen-Dazs, but I love cocktails, ice cream and dancing whilst preparing drinks- so I think that’s everything cleared up. Let me know if you’d like more mocktail ideas here too!
