From The Archive: 2013

With magazine placements on the side, 2013 was the last year I juggled blogging as a side gig. Things get a bit girlier in the style department too, with a lorra love for the sixties and a 'hive!

Out of all of the women’s clothing brands I discovered in Las Vegas, Unique Vintage certainly found itself up top as being one of my favourites. Although I’m not usually accustomed to the ’50s pin up look (girl ain’t got the sass for that), Patty Simcox from Grease style prom dresses or classy ’40s Victory style bodycon numbers- I found that their fresh floral midi skirts, and two pieces were the perfect balance of retro and classic- perfect for a girl who likes to add a modern spin on things. Additionally with this weird and changeable weather (I’m not prepared to use the phrase ‘transseasonal’ just yet) it’s the perfect skirt to throw on with an old biker jacket or over sized knit- without looking like you’ve greeted Autumn with open arms (just yet anyway)…

and here’s what I wore…
