A little something different from me today (well, after a breakfast based post maybe not so much) but considering I’ve never really branched into male fashion, I guess it’s a pleasant step away from my frilly dresses and over sized hats- which can’t be a bad thing. Additionally, it’s certainly nice to do a post about the special (and pretty cool) cat that’s usually behind the lens- but in front of it instead. Anyway- pardon me being so rude; this is Joe. Other half of nearly-four-years, blog photographer extraordinaire- and pretty good coloured chino stylist as it so happens…
When Gant got in touch asking us to style a pair of their coloured chinos in 3 ways, we were a little bit stumped. We both have pretty conservative styles (bar the occasional tourist tropical print) so mixing something marginally One Direction and bold could prove tricky. But how wrong we could have been- after discovering a suave selection of paint box pastel trousers, Joe opted for this pale blue pair and this is how he got on… (pretty damn well in my opinion).
Despite the weather being less than seasonal, these pastel trousers were simple to style- mixing them with a more summery maroon t shirt and matching socks and brogues, some summery and Frenchie inspired stripes (with a coordinating ‘tash necklace and sunnies of course) and a warm fairisle knit with canvas backpack- perfect for lots of woodland adventures, no? When the warmer weather approaches these would look equally as cool with an acid washed denim jacket or crisp white shirt (if you’re feeling suitably preppy, of course) or even some more sporty trainers. I’m impressed, that’s for sure.
