From The Archive: 2012

A year of fewer questionable outfit choices, I finally found my blogging groove in 2012, and here you can find some favourite pieces, band interviews as they first appeared and a lot of hats too...

Standing in the centre of one of the busiest streets in the country probably wasn’t the most modest location for an outfit picture, but after teaming up with Westfield London to style a festive outfit for a ‘Night out with friends’ on a budget, the twinkling Christmas lights of Oxford Street and the busy passers by in my favourite capital seemed the perfect place to be- post Westfield shopping and enjoying a nice meal with a few drinks!

With Β£100 to spend, theme in mind and a list of my favourite shops to hand (Topshop, COS and Urban Outfitters I’m looking at you) I aimed to create a transitional yet festive day-to-night outfit, something I will wear again and ultimately something with a little personality! To be honest- if anything I was spoilt for choice. Having tried on a cute-as-a-button black pinafore playsuit in Topshop and fallen in love within minutes, I was determined to branch out from my usual high street go-to. This in mind, I headed straight for COS with a certain velvet dress in mind- and in a moment I’d found the perfect seasonal frock. With a little of my budget left to spare I went back to good ol’ Toppers and bought some animal cut out rings and some trusty 120 deniers to finish off the look- perfect!
