Apart from fashion, another huge interest of mine is music, and it wasn’t util I built this extremely lust-worthy wish-list (or series of pretty darn luxurious outfits) that I realised it wasn’t just the simple ladylike and often twee style of Alexa Chung that inspires the majority of my wardrobe, but more often than not the ladies in my iPod.
After probably spending more time than healthy scrolling pages of beautiful printed silk blouses and matching trousers, ox blood tinted fedoras, rich smoking slippers and more mustard tones than you could wish to see on a Sunday roast spread; I was pretty oblivious as to how much my style is inspired by that of Florence Welch. With Florence, there’s something completely authentic and seventies about her style; yet equally if you told me she’d have just waltzed out of a Millais painting dripping in ivory lace and auburn locks flowing, I probably wouldn’t question you- additionally with my current autumn wardrobe essentially being a pallet of burgundies, paisley and trouser suits, I’d be lying if I said she wasn’t one of my trend heroes.
Additionally, visiting the Matches was a little similar to those moments when I’m having a little naughty on a certain website eding in A-Porter (sadly those are the sites I’ve never actually shopped on) but the thrill of seeing so many beautiful pieces (lusting after more striped jumpers and Isabel Marant lace blouses), plus making a wishlist certainly worth wishing for was time well spent in my opinion(and also gave me some pretty cool outfit ideas- hurrah)!
Sponsored post, but everlasting love for Flo
