From The Archive: 2012

A year of fewer questionable outfit choices, I finally found my blogging groove in 2012, and here you can find some favourite pieces, band interviews as they first appeared and a lot of hats too...

I said, “What about ‘Breakfast at Tiffany’s?” She said, “I think I remember the film”

(Dress: C/O George at ASDA, Shoes: Topshop, Necklace: Jewellery by Jaymie)

When the lovely folk at ASDA got in touch a month or so ago, asking whether I’d like to be sent a few Diamond Jubilee tea party supplies, along with a retro inspired dress to wear for the occasion, I leapt at the chance! Being a girl who loves a pretty dress almost as much as I love pigging out with some tea and scones, I could think of nothing more perfect. What’s more, is my birthday was the weekend following the official Jubilee weekend, so after enjoying the Queen’s celebrations and concert at my nan’s house, I stretched the celebrations onto my own birthday (and the Queen’s official birthday) with a patriotic British themed tea party, laden with tea cakes, marshmallows and pink lemonade!

Additionally, this dress was perfect for the occasion (check my regal bench posing!) Oozing something of a fifties nostalgia, it reminded me of a more colourful version of something that may once have been found in the beautiful Audrey Hepburn’s wardrobe. With this, it would have almost been rude not to wear my awesome Jewellery by Jaymie necklace featuring the lady herself- perfect!
